God in Action

Through God in Action we seek to pursue the vision God has given us for Real Life Church. We use the phrase, God in Action, to express our desire to be a part of what God is working to accomplish in and through us, and to remind us that God is in charge, not we ourselves.

We look to Jesus Christ as our example and see that Jesus submits to His Father’s authority and delights to do His will. In John 4:34 Jesus said, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.” Where some might see the idea of being under authority as a negative thing, to Jesus, being under His Father’s authority and doing His will is like the taste of a delicious meal to a hungry man.

Therefore:

• We seek to submit to the Father’s authority and to do His will. Furthermore we seek to do God’s will – God’s way as revealed in His Word.
• We seek to be good stewards of our time and resources by keeping our mission before us: Transforming lives by making Christlike disciples in our community.
• We seek to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength by practicing a balanced faith of Head, Heart & Hands. (Deut. 6:5; Mark 12:29-30; Matt. 22:37; Luke 10:27)
