At Real Life Church, we view children as a vital part of our church family. We see it as our responsibility to come alongside the parents, working together to help each child learn who he or she is in Christ. It is our goal to guide the children in their "Real Life" journey to become Vibrant, Inspired, Nurtured, and Empowered for the purpose of glorifying God.
There is something exciting for every child at Real Life Church!
SUNDAYS 10:45 A.M.: On Sunday mornings, children of all ages are discipled through great small group connections led by creative, caring Sunday School teachers. Age appropriate curriculum is carefully chosen for each classroom. A nursery is provided for children ages 0 – 3. This time consists of positive play, fun music or a craft, and a short Bible lesson. The pre-school class is a setting, which encourages learning in a fun, hands-on manner. 1st through 3rd graders enjoy games, memory verses, and Bible lessons that are fun, challenging, and life-applicable. The Pre-teen Class (4th -6th grade) specifically focuses on knowing Jesus more and making God-honoring decisions as the students grow.
SUNDAYS 6-7:30 P.M.: On Sunday evenings, during adult Bible study and teen group, the children are invited to join our Bible Quizzing practices. They study both the Old Testament and the New as they follow “Dr. Digalot” and discover how fun it is to learn God’s Word. The goal of this program is to teach our children the Word of God so that they may “hide it in their hearts” and apply it to their lives.
TUESDAYS 6:00 – 7:30 P.M.: On Tuesday nights, the Kids on the V.I.N.E. ages 4 – 6th grade are invited to be part of Caravan, a wonderful Christian scouting club. Children participate in exciting music, team-building games, and teacher-led badge work that is age-specific, builds life skills, and connects to God’s Word. We also take great field trips to many places including the pumpkin farm, the park, and more.
THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND DURING THE SUMMER: There is always lots of fun at Real Life Church! The children’s department takes fun trips to the ice skating rink, Feed My Starving Children food packing facility, the sledding hill, work and witness trips, and the local assisted living facility to perform our Easter/Christmas musicals. We all gear up for “Bowlympics” in March, our one and only fundraiser all year. A week of summer extravaganza (VBS) is scheduled each year, and boys and girls camp is a definite highlight of the year.
